WORK EXPERIENCE

This is an important component of Australian Pacific Travel & Tourism courses and students can benefit tremendously from the program. Work experience is arranged by the college on behalf of the students. This is unpaid for one day per week over the last 10 weeks of the Certificate III course.

This program is available and mandatory for the full time students only. Part time students can be issued with a letter of introduction to the industry when required and are encouraged to organise their own vocational work experience. Whilst on Work Placement, students are covered by both Personal Accident and Third Party Insurance.

Job Placement Program

Australian Pacific Travel & Tourism assists local students only with employment through its highly successful job placement program. Resume preparation and interview techniques are studied during the courses; however one on one resume preparation advice is also available if required. The College also provides assistance that may be required for preparation prior to an interview.

The college is available for support and career advice to maximize employment opportunities. As the Australian Pacific Travel & Tourism is an industry-based college, we are able to involve our students in selected industry events and activities that occur during the period of the course. Participation is these events provide the opportunity to meet and network with industry personnel.
